A Philadelphia native, AURA FISCHBECK is a San Francisco-based choreographer and movement artist. Her work has been presented nationally in festivals and shared programs since 200. In 2008 she founded Aura Fischbeck Dance. Aura Fischbeck’s work has been seen at many Bay Area venues including Z Space, the Joe Goode Annex, ODC, the Garage Artspace, CounterPULSE and the Subterranean Arthouse, and nationally at the Kumquat Dance Center (Philadelphia), Work|Space (CO) and the Headwaters Theater (OR). In addition to choreographing and performing in her own company, Aura has been a collaborator and performer in the work of many esteemed artists, including Christy Funsch/Funsch Dance Experience, Deborah Karp Dance Projects, Deborah Hay (through the Solo Commissioning Performance Project), Susan Rethorst, Daria Kaufman, Chris Black, Krista DeNio, Kathleen Hermesdorf, Biba Bell, Christine Cali, Barbara Dilley, Brigitta Herrmann and others. www.aurafischbeck.com

ROBERT LOPEZ is a percussionist, composer, curator and educator based out of Oakland, CA. His diverse background in various types of musics such as that of folkloric traditions of Brazil, Ghana and Cuba, alongside contemporary chamber music and free improvisation, have allowed him to maintain a malleable approach to sharing musical ideas. His degree work includes a Bachelors of Music Degree from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at Cal State University Long Beach and a Master of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Improvisation from Mills College. Currently, he spends his time making music with groups ZE BIB!, the Oakland Active Orchestra, Quattour Elephantis, Opera Wolf and Grex among others. He is also on staff as a dance accompanist at Mills College, UC Berkeley and Sonoma State.  KARLA QUINTERO is a dancer and dance-maker originally from New York City. Since relocating to the Bay Area, she has had the pleasure of performing in works by Christy Funsch, Jo Kreiter, Kim Epifano, Robert Moses, Dexandro Montalvo, Leyya Tawil, Daria Kaufman, Deborah Karp, Aura Fischbeck, Alma Esperanza Cunningham and RAWDance. She has been an artist-in-residence at the Garage (SF) & the Temescal Arts Center (Oakland) where she created surreal & immersive works about the future. Shortly thereafter, Karla was chosen as a finalist for SF Weekly’s Masterminds prize for emerging artists. In 2015, Karla was a recipient of an Oakland Individual Artist Grant, for the creation of her first evening-length work, If Mars, a mixed-media inquiry into mankind’s Mars fixation She holds a BFA from the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance and a BA in Urban Studies from Barnard College. In addition to dance and art, she is intrigued by language, stories, cities and motion capture technologies.
